Hyderabad, India - September 13, 2017 - Continuing from the successful first meetup on Microservices using Springboot, Innominds in association with the “Hyderabad Software Architects” meetup group, successfully organized a follow-up meetup expanding on the same topic. Chandra Veerapaneni, Software Architect at Innominds, conducted the session presenting hands on exercises and demos.
The session began with a refresher on previous session topics. This was followed by discussion on enhancements to support databases other than In-Memory.
Chandra explained the other session topics like Circuit Breaker using Hystrix, monitoring commands using Hystrix stream and OAuth2.
"It was a wonderful session providing us with insights into OAuth and Microservices" said Upendra, one of the participants of the session.
Siva another participant said, "As a beginner, this session has inspired me to learn more and extend my knowledge on Microservices Architecture".
Topics covered in the meetup:
- Introduction (Roles, Grant Types)
- Create a standalone authorization server (using spring cloud components) that acts both like an ‘Authorization Server’ and a ‘Resource Server’
- Use ‘Resource Owner Password Grant' to authenticate with the database containing user authentication details
- Use the access token to access the protected resources.
The second meetup on Microservices using Springboot had a much larger participation with several practical demos and an inquisitive question and answer session on the topic. The demos helped the participants to apply their learnings and learn in depth about the topic. It was commonly agreed that another session should be conducted in the near future to explore the topic further.
